WEIRD Ferrograph 7" Reel to Reel tape...

Okay so in my recent bulk purchase I found a 7" reel of Ferrograph tape. One of a few, to be honest but this was especially interesting. I threaded it up and hit play and was immediately greeted with the weirdest, most strangest sounding music I have ever heard in my life. 

Whoever recorded this, and I'm only taking a guess here, seems to have recorded two different pieces of music, on two separate channels, at two separate speeds. The result is something I can only describe as music from an alien world. This is incredibly strange.

The inside of the box has some stuff written down, but nothing seems to indicate why the recordings sound like this. Seems to be in the wrong box or, which is always possible after so many years of existence, it may have been recorded over several times before these details were written down. 

Closer examination shows the details of many classical pieces of music, which in all honesty, it does resemble, but weird, because it's two different pieces at two different speeds on two different channels... at once. This is parculiar to say the least, but an interesting find none the less!
